Boudoir PEI - Why Boudoir? | Charlottetown, PEI

Sometimes I find it hard to put into words why I shoot boudoir photography. To me, it is so much more than photos. It is about self-acceptance, body positivity, and learning to love yourself completely. It is about getting glammed up and laughing your face off. It is about transformation that takes place between the time you walk in my studio and walk back out the door. It is about feeling beautiful, and that is something I believe every person deserves. 

I started shooting Boudoir because I wanted to give women an opportunity to build up their self-confidence, self-esteem, and body-positivity. I wanted to help women to see how stunning they are, to change their perspective and help them to see themselves for who they truly are. You are an absolutely perfect creation! 

I believe I could show any woman how stunning they are through my camera; and the final image will totally change their perspective and help them to see how truly beautiful they are.

I love when women see their photos for the first time, and prove to them that they CAN, in fact, feel beautiful. After witnessing their reactions to their pictures helped me develop my passion even more so I can help women see how beautiful they are from the inside-out. 

I am dedicated to being a mirror for my clients through my lens. Not the mirror that the world shows you, not the mirror that shames you and points out your imperfections. My mirror will bring out your inner beauty and you will fall in love with yourself. Falling in love with how you see yourself is ultimately the greatest gift I could give you.

The Transformation

When you arrive at my studio, you may be visibly nervous or unsure of what to do; but not to worry, I will guide you through the moment you walk through the front door.

The transformation begins once you sit in the chair to get your hair and makeup done. You will slowly start to shed those signs and feelings of nervousness and anxiousness.

After your hair and make-up is done, we will go over what you brought for outfits and develop a plan for the rest of the session. I will demonstrate all the poses throughout the shoot, so you have no reason to feel nervous at all.

When I show you the back of the camera, I usually hear things like “WAIT…WHAT?? THAT’S ME?!” “NO WAY!” “DAMN.. I’M HOT!!” 

Yes, that is you, and YES, you ARE drop dead gorgeous!!

As we continue into the next series of poses, the laughter and smiles continue to become more frequent. You will become more confident and relaxed as we go, and your beauty just continues to overflow with each pose. 

By the time you walk out the door, you’re smiling so big! You are feeling so proud of yourself, and you can’t wait to tell your friends about what you just did!

Through my eyes…

For me, boudoir photography is a celebration of your body and of your true beauty. It’s a way of taking your self love to the next level. It’s a way to tell yourself that you ARE worth it. You ARE beautiful and you ARE perfect just the way you are. I take pride in being able to helping you celebrate your body, your battles, and the victories you’ve been through. It means so much to me that you would trust me to help you see your true beauty. It is such an honour that you would let me help you along on your self love journey.
